I'm working with a bunch of new gear, so I'm still figuring stuff out.  This is a mid-paced track (105 bpm) in E minor.  Although I did mention being tired of blues jams, it's really the easiest to do.  The other backer I was working on I felt would have been too restrictive.
Bass and drums only for now.  I will make a rhythm but thought that you guys may want to do your own.  Have fun! Cool

For those who downloaded this track, please try again.  I had to do a remix as it didn't sound like the bass came through.

Yeah, sorry about that.  The new track may still be a little weak on bass.  It's hard for me to tell as I'm trying to get used to a new reference.  With my old setup, it would have had too much bass.  I have to figure out how to hook up my reference speakers. Shrug

Did you get new monitors?

Did you get new monitors?

Nope.  I got a Mac and am using Logic Express to record with.  As a result, I lost most of my pc software and am working with different tools.  Things sound very different and I haven't got my normal speakers hooked up yet.
One thing that really stands out is the lack of latency.  Before I used to think it was me when my tracks were a millisecond behind.  Now it sounds right.  That was a big revelation.
The only software that I kept is Superior Drummer 2.0.  Everything else is new and I'm still working the learning curve.
I also got the Midisport Anniversary model.

Ok, here's my take on it.  I did two versions.  The first is an all-out rocker.  Since the original concept of this tune is for us to tell stories through our guitars, I went back and used more vocal-based phrasing and abandoned the first version.  I hope it comes across that way.  Who's next? Ok I did up a track, not my best playing but the title of the song should be, New guitar jitters.

Just got the guitar in the mail today.

Musicman guitars are so frikkin' cool.  What's the neck carve on the Morse?  I never see those around here. Cool

Its 1 and 5/8ths like the wolf but a thinner c shape, and stays pretty much the same all the way up the neck where the wolf gets wider and thicker as it goes up to the 12th fret.

Holy crap!  You two just smoked my speakers! Playing Band Awesome versions.
I/O, it's really cool that you added that massive sounding rhythm.  What a monster track! Thumbs up

Thanks for the info Kard.  I always thought the Morse has a Fender C profile but wasn't sure.  What a cool pickup config.

Both tracks sound damn good!!!  I always get lost when doing solos, sometimes I find my way but mostly end up flailing away in the dark Rolling Eyes
