Here is some practice material to help familiarize yourself with drop voicings.

Basic principle is, you start with a closed chord shape.  Let's say Cmin7.  The notes are C-Eb-G-Bb.  You take the note that you're dropping counting from the top - in this case, G - and drop it an octave below.  The chords invert according to standard rules.

Here are two most common voicings: drop 2 and drop 3.  As you play through these, try to figure out what CAGED shape they belong to; sometimes you'll also have combinations of more than one shape.
